Our Story

Vidyarthi Foundation was established in 1999 with a small group of friends who shared a vision of making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and communities. The name “Vidyarthi” is derived from the Sanskrit words “Vidya” (knowledge) and “Arthi” (ready to take), reflecting the foundation’s core mission to empower individuals through education and care.

In 2003, the organization was officially registered as Vidyarthi Educational Society, marking the beginning of several social service programs such as health awareness camps, environmental initiatives, and the establishment of orphanages. In 2012, we registered as a charitable trust, becoming the Vidyarthi Foundation Charitable Trust to further extend our reach and impact.

Over the years, Vidyarthi Foundation has expanded its services across five main areas: education, vocational training, healthcare, shelter, and cultural programs. We have grown to run multiple orphanages, vocational training centers, and health initiatives, providing long-term support to those in need. Our mission is to uplift underprivileged communities by providing them with the resources, education, and skills necessary to build a better future.

Today, Vidyarthi Foundation continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of thousands, offering hope, care, and opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.

Kalluru Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy

Founder & Chairman

Kalluru Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy is a passionate social worker who has dedicated his life to creating large-scale social change. Over the years, he has taken on various roles, including teacher, magician, life skills trainer, and spiritual speaker. His commitment to social causes led him to establish the Vidyarthi Foundation in 1999, an organization through which he has pledged to donate the majority of his wealth.

Vijaya Bhaskar’s outstanding contributions have earned him 13 prestigious awards from 12 different organizations. He completed his degree at Kadapa Arts College, pursued his post-graduation at S.K. University in Anantapur, and earned his B.Ed. from Madurai M.K. University. His vision for Vidyarthi Foundation is to continue empowering underprivileged communities and provide them with the tools for a better future
